Dr. Joseph Wang is the Group CEO of Ryobi-G Group, having served as its leader since the year 2000.

As the founder of the company, Dr. Wang played an integral role in developing the company’s services over the years, ranging from soil investigation and geophysical survey to geotechnical engineering and 3D geospatial data collection via laser scanning. To this day, Ryobi-G’s services are unmatched by all its competitors in the market. The standards of its geophysical survey services have even reached beyond the oil and gas industries, being applied in civil and geotechnical engineering.

Dr. Wang previously worked as a geotechnical engineer in Mott MacDonold Singapore Pte Ltd and Maunsell Consultants Pte Ltd, leading many soil investigation projects and conducting many structural and foundation design projects. He moved onto working as a contracts manager for Presscrete Engineering, developing business development strategies and close relationships with reputable MNC contractors.

With the sum of these multidisciplinary experiences under Dr. Wang’s belt, Ryobi-G achieved a net profit of over $1 million within five years of founding. The company has not only worked with many firms in the private sector, comprising a range of main contractors, property owners and developers, but also established strong working relationships with various government sectors and agencies.

Dr. Wang holds a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and a PhD in Civil Engineering from Tonji and Carleton University, as well as an Executive MBA from Tsinghua INSEAD. In his free time, Dr. Wang enjoys keeping fit by training in Brazilian jiujitsu at a leading MMA gym, currently holding a blue belt.
